Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Enquiring and critical/analytical mind;
Digital processing of new business, renewals and endorsements, in line with internal processes & standards;
Retain and grow existing clients;
Proficient in the application and understanding of commercial and personal insurance policy wordings;
Be able to price commercial and personal risks in line with the market to ensure clients get the best price for their risk;
Conducting corrective action at renewal, including rating adjustments - a good knowledge of the SA insurance market is essential;
Reviewing uninsured risks at renewal, including at any stage during the currency of the policy, based on a thorough understanding of the clients business activities;
Ensure compliance and procedural requirements are met at all times;
Managing insurer risk requirements, to the point of compliance and acceptance by the insurer;
Going the extra mile for the business and the external brokers;
Ability to conduct your own risk commercial risk analysis or Record of Advice, to ensure the client makes an informed insurance choice, in all interactions with the company.
Five to ten years underwriting experience in Commercial & Personal Lines insurance, ideally in a broker environment;
FAIS qualified for Short Term Commercial & Personal lines;
Passed the RE 5 exams;
Must have been registered as a “Representative”, for Advice and Intermediary Services, without being under Supervision;
Meet all FAIS Fit & Proper requirements;

Five to ten years’ experience in Motor and Non-Motor claims, ideally in a broker environment;

Tayla consistently strives to exceed clients expectations and to provide efficient, elegant solutions, which is underpinned by purpose of Chadwicks, namely to constantly show our clients that INSURANCE can and should be Fast, Friendly and Simple.
Known for her positive approach and resourcefulness, she takes pride in helping clients develop a fresh perspective on insurance. She uses her enthusiasm and energy, to build strong relationships with clients and to make their experiences as professional and enjoyable as possible.
She says that working in the Chadwicks team “is dynamic and amazing”, and she loves coming to work every day to help build an atmosphere of professionalism, fun and collaboration. Tayla recognizes the value of fresh perspectives and actively seeks out opportunities to learn from her colleagues.
Her passion for positivity and enthusiasm extends beyond her professional life. As a wife and mother with a love for books and genealogy, she takes pride in pursuing a wide range of interests and hobbies.
She spends some of my free time as a volunteer in her church, and through this experience, she has developed skills in event planning, fundraising and community outreach, and gained a deeper appreciation and understanding for the importance of helping those less fortunate than her.
Matthew is proud to be part of Chadwicks, a privately owned boutique insurance broker business, mainly specializing in bespoke insurance solutions for both commercial organizations and high net worth individuals.
He has a natural flair for all things risk and insurance and is intrigued by the diverse world of insurance. His open, friendly and engaging manner make him the ideal insurance broker. Added to this is his attention to detail, listening skills and his “no task is too big” attitude, which makes him a great team player and asset to the business.
Matthew’s passion for insurance began after exploring various fields, including mechatronics engineering, genetics, and human anatomy & physiology, as well as serving as a youth pastor and public speaker. This diverse background has equipped him with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which have proven invaluable in his current Client Development role in Chadwicks.
When Matthew is not helping clients, he enjoys traveling, golfing and trying different cuisines.
Kirsten is a results driven insurance claims manager, with several years of experience in the short term insurance industry. She is under no illusion, that, in the final analysis, her claims team need to deliver fast and fair claim settlements consistently, which aligns perfectly with the ethos and purpose of Chadwicks, that is: Doing INSURANCE Fast, Friendly & Simple
Kirsten is a strategic thinker who is able to lead teams to success, by setting clear goals and expectations, and providing the necessary support and guidance to achieve them.
Key to her ongoing success is a solid understanding of INSURANCE policies and procedures, being skilled in analyzing data and making informed decisions that benefit both the client and the company. She is also a creative problem solver who is able to identify opportunities for process improvement and importantly, to execute implement effective solutions.
Kirsten is highly respected by her team for her exceptional communication skills, positive attitude and commitment to teamwork. Leading by example comes instinctively to her. She is also known for fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, where team members are encouraged to share their ideas and contribute to the success of the team.

When she is not helping clients with claims, she loves being with her cats, cooking and baking and spending time with her family.
Mantana revels in her job, which in her words “is all about helping people with INSURANCE”.
She is the proud manager of a team with some pretty amazing skills and has helped them grow and hone their skills over many years. Her goal is to make INSURANCE fast, friendly, and simple - so you can get on with your life.
As someone who works in Client Services, Mantana has the privilege of talking to folks from all walks of life. She believes this is one of the best parts of my job, as “there is nothing quite as fulfilling as helping someone navigate the sometimes confusing world of INSURANCE”. She says it feels great to know that we're making a difference in people's lives by ensuring their assets are protected.
Mantana takes great pride in her work and is totally committed, driven and motivated. But at the same time, she loves to keep things friendly and relaxed.
In her spare time she enjoys doing Family History work, Scrapbooking and also, spending time with her granddaughter.
Cindy is a seasoned insurance professional with several years of experience in short term INSURANCE. She has a natural ability to understand clients' needs and provide them with personalized solutions and is also a great listener, who is always ready to lend an ear.
As a client services representative, Cindy is responsible for managing client relationships, handling inquiries and ensuring that clients receive prompt and effective support throughout their INSURANCE journey at Chadwicks. She also has a solid understanding of INSURANCE concepts and policies and is skilled in communicating these ideas in a clear and concise manner.
She is committed to providing exceptional customer service and support, and always goes the extra mile to ensure that clients are satisfied with their INSURANCE coverage. Her proven skills as a communicator, who is able to listen to clients' needs and concerns, enables her to consistently provide them with personalized INSURANCE solutions, that meet their unique requirements.
In addition to her client services duties, Cindy is also a valuable team player who is dedicated to collaborating with colleagues across various departments to ensure that clients receive the best possible service. She is a quick learner who is able to adapt to changing circumstances and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Outside of work, Cindy enjoys many outdoor pursuits including surfing, nature walks, traveling and swimming.
Tim is the proud owner of Chadwicks, which was founded in 2003, and is really passionate about ensuring that everything the business does represents the brand and Chadwicks purpose, which is to show people that INSURANCE can and should be Fast, Friendly & Simple.
Tim became as Associate of the Insurance Institute in 1997 and has been active, for over 30 years, in various roles in the short term insurance industry, including as an administrator, broker and underwriter, .
He is on a permanent quest to master the technical aspects of risk and insurance, but experience the most satisfaction by helping his team grow and by helping as many people as possible with INSURANCE.
When he is not helping people with INSURANCE, he is pursuing his passion for fine art photography and exploring the beauty of the natural world.
Shumonay is a dedicated INSURANCE claim professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry. She possesses a strong understanding of INSURANCE policies, practices and procedures, which enables her to provide expert guidance and assistance to clients during the claims process.
Teamwork comes naturally Shumonay and its no surprise that she loves working in team Chadwicks - a team that is fully committed, professional and caring.
Shumonay is also known for her exceptional customer service skills and ability to handle delicate and complex claim situations with sensitivity and professionalism. She is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that clients receive the best possible outcome, and takes great pride in helping people during difficult times.
