Perhaps the most distinctive aspect of Chadwicks' approach has been its philosophy toward talent and culture. Unlike many organisations that describe themselves as "families," Tim deliberately chose a different model.

"We are not a family, families are about unconditional love and can be dysfunctional at times. Instead, we model ourselves on elite sports teams like the Springboks, where performance is key and we select the right person for every position." This sports team mentality created a high-performance culture, balanced with care and shared purpose.

"My biggest achievement is undoubtedly having key people being with me for most of the journey, in particular Mantana Viviers. She is the bedrock, caring and unwavering, the mother figure of the business," Tim acknowledges, when reflecting on what makes him most proud.

"Of course, we don't intentionally seek failure," explains Tim Chadwick, "but we understand that it's inevitable when you are constantly striving to improve. If you are not failing occasionally, you are probably not trying hard enough or taking the necessary risks to grow."
